At Muir Creek Gutters, we believe roof maintenance should protect your investment—not shorten its lifespan.

We started this company because we saw too many roofs being cleaned with aggressive methods that can wear down shingles unnecessarily. While there are different roof-cleaning techniques available, our philosophy is to use the least abrasive method that still delivers effective, long-lasting results.

That's why we manually remove moss using a medium-stiff deck brush, carefully lifting the moss while minimizing unnecessary wear on your shingles. We never use wire brushes, which can strip away the protective granules that help asphalt shingles withstand the elements.

Once the surface moss has been removed, we apply a professional moss treatment that kills the moss at its roots. The treatment continues working after we leave, so while the final results typically develop over several weeks, it helps prevent regrowth and extends the time between cleanings.

To keep your roof looking its best and reduce the need for repeated brushing, we recommend a maintenance treatment every one to two years. Regular preventative treatments help control new moss growth while keeping physical contact with your roof to a minimum.
